Default Delta bans other country flags on uniform

https://www.usatoday.com/story/trave...y/74389200007/

I feel like this goes against Freedom of Speech. I know Jamaican pilots usually wear a pin from their country. They would need to ban all pins vs just other country flags for it to not be violating freedom of speech. All because an employee doesn’t know how to tweet…

Being an international air line, I would expect Delta to be more accommodating to other nationalities. I’m glad we have a union over crap like this but the FA’s don’t.

We're not government employees. First ammendment doesn't apply here, my man. Delta is within their rights to dictate their uniform policy.

What's next? Claiming your tie is violating your "free speech?"

Goes against free speech? Seriously? Does that "free speech" include wearing political buttons? How about a swastika armband?

There is a reason they call it a "uniform".

There hasn’t been anything uniform about DAL ‘uniforms’ in the last 10 years. Especially on the IFS side.

No.

1st amendment prevents the government from making laws abridging the freedom of speech.

Not your employer.

I’d be cool with them banning most pins.

You can’t wear a flag for a country but are encouraged to wear BLM pins and LGBTQ+ flags.

Delta doesn’t owe anybody a platform for free speech. They can modify policy as they see fit.

I think you're getting anti-discrimination mixed up with free speech.
