Very under appreciated post. This is directly where my mind went.

Go to work.

Fly by the book.

Wear the g-d uniform; it makes you invisible.

This is the easiest, highest comp paid-by-the-hour job on the planet. You're the envy of pilots globally and in the top 5% of salary earners.

But ya gotta have "flair". (Military. Sportsball. Special causes. "Oh no, not a HAT!!!")

Sigh.

Good luck.

Lol right! I don't understand the fascination with flair and “individualism,” at work. I have a hard enough time remembering to move my ALPA pin. Same with lanyards, plenty of union/company lanyards that work just fine. Go to work, collect a fat paycheck, go home…express your individualism on your own time.

I feel like this goes against Freedom of Speech. I know Jamaican pilots usually wear a pin from their country. They would need to ban all pins vs just other country flags for it to not be violating freedom of speech. All because an employee doesn’t know how to tweet…

Being an international air line, I would expect Delta to be more accommodating to other nationalities. I’m glad we have a union over crap like this but the FA’s don’t.
Yea , heaven forbid they would ever let one wear an Israel flag . What a joke.

For sure. That's what I thought about Colin Kapernick. Dude should have just stood for the national Anthem during games to respect the flag and men/women that died for our right and ability to be free and do things like play football and get paid 6 million a year like he was . Then on his days off use his money and time to gripe about the police if he wanted . Of course when all these pin heads need protection the first people they call is 911 and the police , lol.
