The key words in the announcement are “at this time” for not adding another fleet. If you remember, those were the exact words used last year when the idea of opening a BOS base was addressed. The same phrase doesn’t appear in the section about Florida, Austin, or Vegas. I believe it will only be a matter of time until more fleets are added to BOS.
This will drive lots of movement which is a good thing

Also looking forward to the growth prospects on the narrowbody side (displacing RJs, etc.) on the 220, 320 or what have you. Yet BOS does have its challenges with space (gates, simultaneously running things out of both A and E now) so we'll see I guess.
Cheers!

Im happy for anyone that lives in the northeast for this base, good for you guys its awesome to be based at home flying a widebody. I feel like dtw 330 base will get screwed over again like usual because of this base but I hope Im wrong.

I believe this is the first of many changes we'll see in Flight Ops in the next few years. I think SLC WB is coming soon as well.

They also said last year that BOS was not being looked at, so all these means is Florida, Austin or Vegas is not being looked at today. Just Rember tomorrow is a day away!

I think we are owed an explanation about how negative they were for BOS. Not just negative, but HARD negative. What other flip flops should we expect? Why the secrets?
