I don’t think there is a better metaphor for a rep that is so self serving and out of touch with their constituents as someone who cries to national over a minor technicality when you lost a recall vote by a wide margin.

edited because buck was right, it wasn’t 2/3 of the base that voted to remove him, but about 2/3 of voters

Apparently they have to redo the meeting and the vote if the vote at the meeting passes. I don't know if there is a deadline to do it or if they have to wait until the next LEC meeting. The chairman may, from what I understand, call for a seperate meeting.

It's insane. The guy was overwhelming voted out by the pilots.

Why doesn't he just resign? Are the perks of being an ALPA rep too compelling to do the right thing?

=Gone Flying;3821302............ over a minor technicality when 2/3 of the base voted to remove you.
Curious, was it 2/3 of the pilot base or 2/3 of those who voted?

The dude lost a recall election in a big way and instead of accepting that he petitioned to have the results overturned on a minor technically.

He is showing his desire to put himself ahead of his council through this stunt, no chance he resigns.

Two-thirds of the base voted and then it was a 65-35% vote.

Yes...... a really significant "turn out".

But , just to be accurate,.......as to my original ??? It was really 45.3% of the base "voted to remove him".

IDGAS one way or another but "accuracy matters and all that"

Not quibbling, was just curious ...thanks for the replies

Apparently following the rules is important.

The 44 recall failed 3 to 1.
