Appararently right now they have a surplus of proxies and not enough proxy holders. If you don't want to use the smart sheet and have spots available to hold them PM me.
It's almost like the system is designed for those who can bid a Friday off and/or doesn't commute. Last I saw, something like 50% of the list is flying on any given day. Our system punished no less than 50% of pilots.

And the good news is, the MEC Chairman wants to make it HARDER to recall reps.

That last URL didn't populate right. Let me try again:

www.ti
nyurl.com/council44recall

I have confirmed with folks the DA was let go / asked to leave / removed / fired from the scheduling committee for FPL abuse. I find it ironic that he somehow got himself appointed to the committee that had the power to recommend changes to that which he abused in the past. Is it also a strange coincidence that most of the new polices are written such that they can be abused quite easily?

Truly astounding. The bar to recall a rep is already prohibitively high.

the guy is unbelievably out of touch. The percentage of pilots who think it should be more difficult to hold their reps accountable is negligible. Where does he come up with this stuff?

Not to fear. The C44 reps are standing by to rubber stamp this top-down power grab.

Saw this on another page and figured it was worth sharing.

Wasn’t it bad enough that the C44 reps led the charge to give themselves a pay raise (that YOU the line pilot pay for) and make ALPA work more lucrative than flying the line, yet YOU the line pilot didn’t even have a vote? Well, they’re not done silencing you. For their next parlor trick, the C44 reps plan to use an office full of full-time ALPA volunteers to prevent a vote on their recalls, that was brought forth by a concerned line pilot just like YOU, from even happening. That’s right - YOU are gonna pay for them to silence you and your fellow line pilots voices! The only way to prevent this from happening is to show up to the meeting and make sure your voice is heard. The window to proxy your vote to another pilot closes Thursday at 11am ET. That said, if the C44 reps are successful in preventing the recall vote from even happening, proxy votes won’t even be counted. The only way to stop this from happening is to show up to the meeting in Atlanta at 11am on Friday and make sure your voice is heard! Sign up to carry proxies here:www.tinyurl.com/council44recall

The office admin work remote on Fridays, as do the few committees with FPL staff on Fridays in the summer (tends to be slower for many committees). And that’s overall (all councils). So packing the deck would be maybe a couple folks, who would then have to answer to why they weren’t doing ALPA work.

Just laying out the reality for those popping the popcorn in this rumor mill.

Wait, what? Office staff works remote yet other councils can't work remote and have to make the ATL commute to "voluteer" for FPL work. I thought the whole work from home idea was frownwed upon. Why would I have to do the SEA-ATL commute if remote is acceptable?

Committees not allowed to do 100% WFH. More like 50% max.

I believe it’s up to the Committee Chairs to get the WFH plan approved by the admin but I’m wrong a lot.

The office staff admin work from home on Fridays. Talking ALPA staff, not pilots.

I’m not even sure which committees actually do WFH. Only WFH I’ve done is random catchup emails days after the fact, and thats not paid.

Wait a cotton-pickin' minute! You had the audacity to work from home, whilst your fellow pilots were slaving away out in the trenches.....AND YOU WERN"T PAID!!!

Let's burn it down....I mean right now, due to your malfeasance.
