I heard that TK has council bypassed to 44. The allegation was that he was the man behind the curtain for the individual who has initiated the 44 recalls. Supposedly, that individual has only been here a little over a year and has no prior union experience (prior mil), but is initiating a recall, which is a little odd on the surface. Not sure if TK wants to run for 44 rep or if he would be setting the stage for placing people who would vote for him in the MC election this time around. Has anyone else heard any of this? I don't know if there is any truth to it or not, as I have no history with the person I heard it from to know the level to which I can count on the accuracy of the statement.

Being here a year has nothing to do with having no union experience. Some guys come here as former reps or even MEC chairman. Even if he was prior mil, he probably has friends that were not. And military guys are often much more skeptical of unions and can see fraudulent and self serving behavior before civilians do

And no. He's not behind it. There are A LOT of people who that worked with DA who want to see him go.

Fair enough. It all seemed a bit convoluted. Appreciate the insight.

So who is "behind it?" Why weren't they willing to file it themselves? My military guy sense to see "fraudulent and self serving behavior" is being set off.

The guy's name was on the recall resolution they published. So, I'd say they filed it themselves.

why even bother? ODB2 probably doesn’t know his ALPA# or login. So therefore it’s a conspiracy.

So he has "friends" that inform him of all the union politics and procedures so he can lead all the rest of us out of darkness, but they are unwilling to file themselves, and whoever these theoretical "friends" you propose are, TK is definitely not among them. And when you say "filed it himself," you mean he filed it with help from DA since his "friends" apparently did not instruct him on how to properly file a resolution, maybe because they don't know, whoever they are. Maybe they're not even in C44 like most of the naysayers posting in here.

What are you blabbering about? You mean filing a resolution that wasn't required but c44 lied to national that it was? So he's working with TK but he's also not working with TK? Why are we talking about friends or not friends? Maybe he just doesn't like what he sees? It couldn't possibly be that. It MUST be a grand conspiracy

You think ALPA Natl doesn’t know the processes inside and out better than some local chairman? Laughable.

ALPA National told him he was wrong. He lied to ALPA national and said this is how it has always been done. ALPA National said if it's always been required, it's probably okay to require it but it can be ruled on by the executive board. That would result in a delay of the recall
