That automation requires a scheduler to rat on themselves. It isn't being reported. I saw one on the 3rd and the 7th and nothing is showing.

Or something shows up on my line but not while I'm contactable, I ignore it until I am. It usually goes away or they forget to call when I am contactable. Make them do thier job. They won't do yours.
This is the way. Know your contract, and when you are not contactable. Like on Sick, Vacation, ANY training (not just CQ, but also company business days like mentor training, or similar), any line off day, etc.

I think you're making the assumption that any of that is automated in DBMS. If it is still functionally a manual entry (no matter how many steps), it's still subject to human error (?).

Maybe thats a question for the scheduling guys. If that's the case, maybe API data wouldn't capture it either.

I don't know what the definition of automation is. All I know is that late coverage less than 8 hours to departure which is the defined 23.M.7. period (actually being done at or after report time so <1 hour to departure) is not showing on the report. Reroutes are well down the ladder and are being used instantly.

API access certainly can verify every covered trip if ALPA develops the right software. It would need to cross-reference DBMS data with ARCOS data to ensure that every coverage step was followed and all callouts were made.

The company obviously has no interest in anything like that. Their pseudo-automation simply allows a scheduler to “tell on themselves” and post a report that we can access in real time.

The more I think about this, the more I question cost as the reason for getting rid of it. DH wanted it gone and given his appeasement perspective and poor 23M7 deal it makes me suspicious.

So they say. Do you really believe that? At $1.5 million per year indefinitely, it was time to step away from ACE.
