Please post that here.

While it is technically possible 67 could find its way into the final bill, it is extremely unlikely. The R’s made their public show of ‘fighting’ for it, but behind closed doors, there really isn’t a constituency to serve. They don’t care that much.

To call this a “die on the hill” issue for the GOP is some deep confirmation bias and wishful thinking.

No. This is not a legislative priority for anyone except for one corrupt Congressmans and his misguided quest to line his brother's pocket.

Look at all the other more pressing, legitimately crucial issues in the world and country. Age 67 was just a flash in the pan, another lunatic fringe's sense of entitlement and victimhood trying to hijack the process. There are lost causes like this that pop up and go away probably once a week comewhere in Congress.

Also, the Age 67 pilots are apparently unwilling to contribute enough to PACs or re-election campaigns to move the needle there, so there is inadequate financial motiviation for legistators to stay interested.

But it is pitiful to see the 67 guys trying to plot to get on 60 Minutes, and into right wing publications. Guys, no one cares. Have some dignity.
After this thing settles I'll be increasing contribution to ALPA PAC. I bet I'm not alone.

Yep. If the threat does go away, it will be a huge victory for ALPA and the PAC. I am glad they followed the direction from the BOD that has been in place for 12 years or so.

Complaints about pilot age discrimination have been going on for 80 years. Joe Foss fought a 6 month battle to get fighters after being told he was to old at the ripe old age of 27!

Been there. Was told I was too old at 28(AF had changed the age to 33), and was told I had "too much flight time" (2,000 TT). I wasn't even a street hire, I was just trying to change branches

According to another thread here, Delta Dave is on LTD.

You can’t make this stuff up.

He's shown as a 350A on the February SL. Does not relect NBCSICA yet if he is out.

Are you referring to Delta Dave or Nehls brother?

DL Dave is NBCSIC. Nehl's bro is an active pilot.

I think you are underrating the chances that this comes out of conference committee with 67 in the final bill. This is not a big deal either way for both groups. The odds are that it dies in conference, but I wouldn’t be shocked if it survives thanks to Nehls.
