Your sample size is based on what? Internet chats? I'm here to tell you many are like me not for 67 and if it had passed we'd be out by 65 anyway

Can we plz stop this age debate now

I appreciatre that, but the pro 67 numbers were not small. Enough to create a ton of noise, and nearly pulled off thier coup in Congress.

100% agree
67 isn’t done. Still could happen in reconciliation. If not, a change in senate will see it through. It’s become a die on the hill issue for republicans.

The FAA Reauthorization will pass this administration. If 67 doesn't pass and the Senate flips in 24, if there is any dem who is opposed, it won't get through the Senate. It appears that Democrats are united against age 67 in the Senate as the commerce committee vote was down party lines.

I wouldn't go that far lol.

The two houses can't even agree on a unaimously supported bill to stop changing the clocks twice a year. I doubt this is a "hill to die on" issue for anyone. It may or may not pass eventually, but its not a high priority anymore. The fake "pilot shortage" issue it claims to solve would actually worsen for majors and regionals unless it was ICAO adopted.

Low priority now. The RAA took their shot and bricked it off the backboard. They're out of political capital.

i think you missed the part where you asked a question to spark an age/demographic debate, and then in the next sentence blithely told him to be more mature and knock it off…..
so yeah……hypocrisy……to further expand on the irony of your comment, ive seen you bash younger people on this board 6 ways from Sunday……..maybe you should heed your own advice

I'm not sure that's the case. Yes, the R's used the issue to justify some anti-union grandstanding. Do they have a deep philosophical or principled attachment to the issue? No. This is not a legislative priority for anyone except for one corrupt Congressmans and his misguided quest to line his brother's pocket.

Look at all the other more pressing, legitimately crucial issues in the world and country. Age 67 was just a flash in the pan, another lunatic fringe's sense of entitlement and victimhood trying to hijack the process. There are lost causes like this that pop up and go away probably once a week comewhere in Congress.

Also, the Age 67 pilots are apparently unwilling to contribute enough to PACs or re-election campaigns to move the needle there, so there is inadequate financial motiviation for legistators to stay interested.

But it is pitiful to see the 67 guys trying to plot to get on 60 Minutes, and into right wing publications. Guys, no one cares. Have some dignity.

The ALPA site has a link to an article with a headline stating the change would FORCE pilots to fly until 67. Pretty disengenuous and obviously wrong. I screen shot the page and sent to to my Representative and Senators.
