At first I thought maybe BOS was there because it is a FA base, but no other FA bases are there? My guess is that CRF is for the CRAF (Civil Reserve Air Fleet), which has had folks temporarily in it in years past. I can't imagine MAC is for Military Air Command, the predecessor to the current Air Mobility Command, which has been defunct for 30+ years (though amazingly, there is overlap with DBMS's existence, lol)...

If/when they do, I would expect it to be opened with a very small number of crews, and for them to wait 60 days before meaningfully building it up - to minimize the PWA mandated breakage of seat locks and paid moves. By waiting 60 days after initial opening, they get around that.

Now…FL on the other hand, I can see a bunch of people close to retirement would bid it just to move. Thats probably the reason why they haven’t opened one up.
But IMO, if Delta wants to grow, they have to open pilot bases regardless if they want or not. There so much flying ATL can hold, they will have. I also believe BOS will open because they are doing a Delta 1 lounge. You can’t promise reliability without full staffing, specially if you’re looking for HVC and business travelers.
