haha me too. I just change the rule or declare it no longer applies. Works great and is really fun for a while.
on topic: is anyone feeling brave enough to consider snowbirding now that monthly AE’s are here to stay? A ski chalet in slc sounds nice for the winter months.

I actually flew with a guy that did this. Lives in ATL, bid SEA for the winter for the Hawaii flying. Not my cup of tea, but there are definitely guys that do it!

I considered it but too worried about getting stuck in ATL. We're still looking at snowbirding and I figure I'll just commute and/or drop what trips I can. I'll take my chances on a few low months or getting some juicy OOBWS in ATL to really make those guys happy lol. My seniority down there is just too dang low to risk it. I'm not even sure I could get a decent schedule with my seniority in ATL.

Charters..different strokes for different folks. I live in PA so it's a nice winter gig to do a EWR charter once or twice a month..better drive than crossing the Hudson to JFK. It's different flying, so that's alright. A bit of challenge outside of the normal run of the mill A to B that we do. Don't get much interaction with the team, but thats not what we are there for. Food is usually pretty good. Recently did one charter where we deadhead up to Canada , to overnight and take the Lightning the next morning at 9 am back home. Charter coordinator got us all tickets (7), and we went to the hockey game gratis of the team. Good seats but not box, it was fun, and nice to be appreciated. The next day the team rep was talking to me as I thanked him the Head Coach/ manager came by and said heck we should of taken you guys drinking with us after the game...(that prob would of been a bad idea...at least with out more time!)
anyways, good thing about this job..variety to find what you do like.
