Prepare Yourselves… 2024 AEs

This is true, but if you're not lucky enough to have the trip drop into open time just before a PCS, then it's usually assigned to a reserve before it hits a PCS. I'm saying that inside of 2 days, we should allow a manual swap/pot process before it's assigned to a reserve.

I did not know that. Good to know. Is there a contractual reference for that?

Like I said, this was told to me by three different instructors my last week of training, but who knows, maybe this week at the meeting, they were told to prepare for line flying this summer again. Just passing on what I was told. If there is another significant WB A and B vacancies on this bid, maybe the info is correct.

I just finished A330 school last week. Heard from the instructors...3 of them, that they were preparing to ease up on training for summer, and then things changed. A lot of instructors were told they'd be flying the line most of the summer during a meeting. The next week at another meeting, they were told to prepare for max training this summer. Network decided to move a considerable amount of ER flying "elsewhere", and the 330's were filling in those gaps and that we went from ok staffed to short staffed with the stroke of a couple keyboard keys. The example I was given was that they may have decided to replace 757's on several Hawaii routes with ER's so those ER aircraft that were supposed to be serving Europe flights this summer needed to be replaced with 330's, and those flights were yet to be accounted for in training.
