They've been "reactivating" the 717's for a while now. Are there still planes waiting to hit the line?

I thought I read somewhere that the last of them were back this month or so.

As expected not a large AE with further smaller AE’s April-June. While expected since a lot of the instructors go back to the line for the summer surge in flying, a little disappointing sting. Good luck to anyone playing the game!

Latest 717 fleet letter details this. Not posting it as it isn't public facing, but it's on page 1 or 2.

Considering the monthly AEs, another 42 WBA spots will still create movement.

Yep. Very NB B focused. Interesting to see the course reversal on the 7ER, as they yank open the aperture in LA again. Network can't seem to make up their mind... Makes me wonder why. Do they see NEO deliveries bogging down?

Also interesting to see half the NB A as WB A's posted (though the final award will see more NB A than WB A due to backfills). Those 42 WB A will generate some movement. For example, there will be a decent number of SEA 320 A's awarded even though zero are posted Same with WB B. And even though there are zero postings, there will be WB B awarded. (though they will be much more senior relative to the last couple AE's). So get your bids in. Great example of BWYWWWYB.

That said, there will clearly be much less movement overall than what we have seen since they transitioned to monthly bids for a while. Will be 3-4 more bids before we see things trend back upwards.

I’m wondering if the announcements and subsequent deliveries of the WB’s pushes people to hold off and bid WB B and loosens the NB A slots. I’m still a number of months away (only 92% system) but I’m one of the few hoping for that 73N A in NYC slot. 🤪.

So as a very new hire still in training who doesn’t want to commute any longer than he has to, am I pretty much stuck committing to NYC on the ER for the foreseeable future?

where are you trying to get to? This bid had 40 LAX7ERB postings if that’s your goal. ATL will looks like it should have backfill from other awards as well.
