JFK-KEF is was shorter than some of the west coast red eyes.

But still involves 2 WOCLs. And no break.

to me a JFK- euro flight felt shorter than JFK-LAX most times because you got a break, and that means you got up every couple hours.

You can get up every couple hours on two-man flights too, if it's not the 73 anyway.

Ive done it all and to me, nothing is worse than two man red eye flying no matter where it originates. But again that is the beauty of this airline. Something for everyone.

Everyone’s different. Of course if you can’t sleep on break, augmented is going to suck. Even on the short hops to LHR, DUB, LIS, EDI, etc, ive felt more rested than getting off a 2 man red eye.

The breaks on the short Europe 3 pilot trips were almost counter productive. Just about the time you're getting to some good sleep, it's time to go back to work. Sleep inertia can be brutal.

I hate redeyes, no matter how many pilots share in the fun or how horizontal I can get staring at the ceiling. I needed to reiterate that in case you are unfamiliar with my loathing.

I’m not arguing for it at all, just making a point. I avoid all red eyes if I can.
