Flown both boeings and airbi here. It's not "love" of the NEO. It's just reality of where the NB fleets are moving and how network is planning to deploy the airframes.

Nothing more. To this day, nothing compares to the 75 in NB world. It will be a sad day when the last one heads off to the sunset. Great airplane. Boeing really screwed the football on the mid size NB market. They deserve Airbus handing them their a$$. Oh well, I don't design and build them, I just fly them.

I would really like to have a stacked bar grahp with the WB A and BOS 330A in the same "bar", but with the bottom part showing the cutoff from BOS 330 A. But I'm not smart enough to make that.
Your graph is just fine Fangs. No need to fret about it.

I've flown them both as well. Currently flying the 717. I've enjoyed every airplane I've flown. The 717 is incredible. I hope this airplane is around for a while but once it retires I will be bidding the Airbus. No question about it. The 321N is an absolute dream and I love everything about it. In my opinion it is the future of this airline. Alaska, Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaii, Iceland (?), and Transcons. What more can you ask for? I've done international and it's not for me. Give me a KEF 3 day and I'll fly it. Augmented flight crew flights are not worth the hype if you ask me. I'm glad it goes senior! The A321N will forever be the ultimate airplane in my opinion. It has it all and the future is as bright as the sun.

Same. Love it, great plane and can’t beat the ER payrates for a tray table and ergonomic cockpit.

Did you fly the Maddog?

I flew the DC-9, MD-88, 75 and now I’m on the 320. Only one I didn’t enjoy was the 88.

For the commuter - yes. For the pilots operating the flight - no. CA can’t even move his seat back at all with that second jump seater right behind him.

I've been a commuter in the JS behind the CA on a SWA flight. Yea it was cramped and I'm sure he wasn't jumping for joy about it but I was grateful and he seemed to want to accommodate a fellow pilot. That second jumpseat might once and a while inconvenience you for a flight but it will be a huge peace of mind for many pilots in their commuting plan on a daily basis.

many friends who commute say the same thing. 2 x JS on our 737s would be a big win for the commuters in a lot of our outstations.

back on the ae topic: what’s the over under on when 73n and 7er backfills resume. The Nov ae bid? Maybe wait until after the election and do it on the Dec ae bid? Wait further until the market embraces the ‘new normal’ of the political administration and backfill (or not) on the Jan ae bid?
