I bet all of the A positions get awarded to pilots who are already qualified and don't have a seat lock. Maybe a handful, <10, will require training, but half of those will be awarded a bypass. The B positions will all get filled, too. Very senior, no seat lock breaks required. I wouldn't be surprised to see some NYC 320 As bid BOS 330B.

Depending on depth of backfill NYC 330A could hit high 4K seniority. I don't think this is the bid that breaks 5,000.

This AE has a good chance of having the largest swing between the mock and final award. Since they award literally every position on the mock it could be a very different picture if they cut way back on the final award.

I agree, this doesn’t break 5,000 WBA…. But it’s getting close.

You must be reading different AE's than I am...
July AE: "As we open BOS, we will evaluate the specific pilot AE awards, specifically base transfers to determine how to open BOS with the largest number of pilots for the first bid-month of operation. This will likely be accomplished by holding the first month or two of base transfer pilots in their current 330 categories and coordinating their base transfer to BOS to coincide with the first group of pilots completing IQ training into the BOS 330 category"
They repeated that for Aug and Sept.
They used terms like "when fully staffed"...and "specifically base transfers, to determine how to open BOS with the largest number of pilots for the first bid-month"....
To me that reads as they aren't going for 100% first bid out the gate and they will only fill as much as possile via base transfers but they aren't willing to go more if it requires training, especially durng the first 60 days when seat locks don't apply.
