Have we compiled the bets on BOS 330 initial size?

"Rolling Thunder" goint to be the stuff of legends in a couple of years.
it would be a great time to open a WB base there with NB A being overstaffed.

wonder if they will eventually go mostly 350 out of SLC long term for hot/high performance.

I'm going with 25 Capt, 35 FO. Not balanced because Capt usually have more vacation time and some 2 man crew to Europe.

That's the hope of many a first officer: The widebody's will come, all those senior SLC NB A will upgrade and open some slots.

I'm not convinced. Surely there are LAX and DTW pilots who already commute and will come home?

Plenty of NB As perfectly happy at current salary, good schedules, no crazy hours, etc.

It'll be interesting to see what happens. (I personally have zero interest in ever going widebody)

I think there also a fair number of senior SLC WBA that went SEA 330A to wait it out.

They've indicated that they want to stand up the base in one bid period. I would expect much larger numbers.

Any guess on how senior? Currently zero 2 man to Europe out of BOS on the 330.

Excellent question. A lot of Deltoids live within driving distance of BOS. But then again a lot of them have retired.

Senior to NYC? Definitely.

The AE notes have indicated the number it opens with depends on the base transfers - ie, who can just switch bases without training. I guess theorically it could be the whole 200-250 pilots, but I can't imagine that being the case. Guess we'll see tomorrow - Typically the bases open with small numbers to avoid breaking seat locks.
