Of additional, new, note Virgin starting London-Accra (announced this weekend) timed to allow connections from NYC. DL JFK-ACC already announced moving to 330 from 763 this fall. Will be interesting to see if DL pulls down ACC entirely and funnels PAX via London/Virgin.

I’ve heard from a bunch of people that the Africa flights are enormous moneymakers for the company though. True?

Ive heard this too. Also it looks like JFK-LOS is coming back

They still make money for Delta when AF/KLM/VA crews operate them out of European hubs.

why would us announcing an up-gauging of a route make you suspicious they would cancel it?
