I have a friend that’s a diamond million miler. The recent change makes him happier because there’s less screaming kids going to MCO in the lounge with a parent that’s only there because of how much they spend on a CC.
Agreed that the lowest tier can’t hold it anymore and that’s probably providing a hit. But the top HVCs probably see it as a good thing

I saw some grumbling about the credit card on Facebook pages of some passengers hitting some sort of new cap on their spend, under the new rules, and then immediately changing to another credit card. There was little benefit for them to keep spending. I don’t use the credit card so I don’t know all the ins and outs of it.

I think the DL One lounges should help greatly with the HVC. I am still shocked with kids and toddlers in business class on international flights though. I’m all for kids not being in a lounge or business class.

I would bet business class travelers going to Asia or S. AM. Avoid Delta because we don’t have WiFi. It’s totally unacceptable that DL chose a WiFi provider with 0 WiFi anywhere outside of N. America and Europe.

We had a plan for WiFi, but the Viasat launch failure caused a huge delay.

100% disagree. In fact if you look at 15% NB A they could all easily be decent line holding WB A.

so why are we still using this vendor? Dumb as hell to choose a vendor who doesn’t even have coverage up yet

Agreed. Top 15% in any seat will beat the plug anywhere else. It going to be even more apparent if these Silver Slips stay a thing. As long as the ALV+15 stays the leveling mechanism, they totally change the dynamic...total game changer.

They are the only game in town with the bandwidth to support an operation like Delta. Launching a satellite into high orbit requires years of planning and $800 m in development costs.

Starlink doesn’t have the bandwidth to support it?

Starlink is subject to the whims of Musk and Delta would be foolish to rely on it.
