Correct, but... What's even better is that when you Return to Work (RTW), IF it has been over 6 months, you can just select any position that went junior to you on an AE while you were out. In some cases, you can select any position junior to you becuse the company doesn't really bother to actually check if it was on an AE. It's under "Leaves of Absences", PWA 13.C.2.b. YMMV.
When you start off on 'disability', you're not really on "unpaid status" until you burn through your sick time and awarded vacation (unless you can move the Vaca). For many, that means 3-4 months of your time out is "paid status" (just out sick) and if you come back in 6 months, you've technically been on "unpaid status" for as little as 2 months. Off the line for 6 months but no soup for you. Ask me how I know. Grrrrrrrr.

I missed this by a few pages, but I need to clarify a bit. The contract says six months of "unpaid status" for the 'any position held by junior' option.
