I wont go NBA unless im 50 percent if that helps. I feel like the 330 fleet has changed over the 5 years i have been lucky to be on it, dont get me wrong its still great but the days of proper staffing, planes without mels are gone but I also remeber domestic challenges, looking to see if it has got any better specifically on the 320 fleet.
thanks!
I made the switch a little over a year ago. I was commuting to WBB and now home based as a NBA. I miss the WB flying, but I have a slightly better QOL now. Generally 1 more day of work/month, but no commute. Pay is very similar about 10% difference in favor of NBA. That’s without any extra effort.

to add. I was ~35% as a WBB and now ~75% NBA

I made the jump from the 350b to 73a about 6 mos ago (I know, I know). Was 60% WBB and now 50% ATL nba. It has been a lot of fun, the rotations are better but not great. Long duty days, decent layovers but you're busy and the trips are fun. Copilots are super jr. but have been crushing it, no issues at all. I miss the crews and the destinations for sure but this is more engaging. My biggest complaint is constantly waiting on FAs in the van for every showtime. The money has been a ~10~% bump with 50% more work days on avg. I used to bid two months on res and 1 on the line to stay current. I avoid NB reserve like the plague. Good luck, it's a good 'problem'.

Made the move in the last year from 765B to 73NA, and I couldn't be happier. Previously doing a ~2 hr commute to NYC now a 40 min commute to Mecca. Very fortunate to try WBB much earlier in my career than originally anticipated, and perhaps it was a bit of a blessing and a curse because I found multipletime zones at work (did fine in S.A., but Europe sucked) and young kids (newborn almost simultaneous w/ starting international) at home an absolute killer. Def lost years off the end of my life in that 2 year span. I'd still tell anyone with an itch for the WB to absolutely give it a shot but it's 1) not for everyone and 2) not the end-all-be-all. Between sleeping more/better/much more consistently, feeling much more rested and energetic and have a greater appreciation of never being more than a few hours away from home, I couldn't be happier being a new NBA.

Is the 765 rest “area” as terrible to get rest in as so many say?

Former WBB that is happily now 717A and don't see myself going WB for a long time, if at all. I had originally planned on staying WB B until I could WB A, but my rona displacement had other plans. Taking 4 months of no international flying showed me just how tired I really was from flying international (it was actually pretty eye opening...no pun intended). Now I'm top 25% as a NB A and get the trips I want, the days off I want and the vacation I want, though that's not as important since I can just bid around dates with no worry of coverage. I also spend way more nights in my own bed and way less fatigued. Caveat, I try to never fly bid packet trips, broken up trips are much better. Dumping the schedule is getting tougher as staffing gets tighter, but apparently staffing is getting better on other NB fleets. As far as the Captain thing is concerned, I could take it or leave it. I'd consider NB B as I'd be top page and if there is one thing I've learned is that seniority beats so many other factors. Plus, the high time turns, day-for-day, pay better than the average day as a 717A.

Could you elaborate on this part? Genuinely curious. Unless you were saying that WBB can pay higher than average NBA, which makes sense.

I didn’t have any trouble getting sleep in it, but that’s me. The curtain does well for blocking light, but not so much noise, especially clanking dishes on first break. A pair of sleep buds with some white noise would be a good investment.

I certainly wouldn’t bid avoid it just because it’s a Class II rest facility.

The seat curtain does make a ok space, but it’s not meant for anyone that is over 6’ tall, has larger than a size 11 foot, or has broad shoulders.

I'm 6’2”, size 12 shoes with broad shoulders and I absolutely agree with your conclusion.

Agree with what everyone else said above. Sleeping on the airplane wasn't an issue for me. Accumulation of broken sleep added up in a hurry, though.
