It looks like her complaint(from skimming the article) is a pattern of ongoing harassment. That was the event which stuck out most to me. Some events seemed pretty minor, but that doesn't negate the more serious ones, in particular grabbing her breasts. It's literally like Peter Griffin in the sexual harassment episode. Being weird is not grounds for harassment of any kind. Am I going to say she is entitled to pump breast milk in flight? Not necessarily. However that is completely beside the issue of other pilots making remarks she expresses discomfort with or breast grabbing. It proves my long standing observation that pilots aren't funny. Not intentionally anyway.

Damn dude that sucks. Hopefully everyone is respectful if it comes to it. Bathroom breaks are onerous enough as it is.

Doesn't this seem like a bit of a coincidence? I think we may have a problem here and it's time we guys speak up for our female coworkers and say enough is enough.
What is interesting is that the way the "pumping incident" was pounced on in this thread is the exact same way the defense will do so to try and discredit the premise of the entire suit. What that allegation is essentially inferring -- without any context -- is that the male captain was expected to be perfectly content with a female FO exposing and pumping her breasts during a flight, and that if he dare complain about it, he contributes to discrimination. There is no context provided. Did she brief the captain that she needed to do this? Did she have a history of being provocative or flirtatious with male captains in the past? Did the totality of the event put the captain in an uncomfortable position justifying his complaint? We don't know any of that.

Including the pumping incident as an allegation may end up being a significant misstep by the FO's counsel. Furthermore, if I were that captain, I'd lawyer up, because I would not want to be associated with anyone else named in this case.

What’s the problem? According to the CDC, our male pilots might be pumping too in the future.

I was wondering how long it would take to make this a trans bashing thread.

I usually don’t respond to comments that are so profoundly stupid and uneducated but these deserve a high level analysis.

1) If you don’t understand that the express process must be done around every 4 hours or so, I have no choice but to assume your educational level or understanding of human physiology is similar to a box of rocks.

2) If you are smarter then a box of rocks and understand #1, then you expect someone to pump in the lavatory. The only response here would be that you are conservatively hick and prude. I’m not name calling, just associating the true definition of these terms with this mindset.

I don’t think many of us would have a problem with someone pumping on the flightdeck. However, I am amazed and saddened with the general level of humanity that anyone would have a problem with someone pumping in their presence. The only explanation is that you fear sexuality in general and don’t have the ability to balance that fear with a level of empathy or professionalism.
