The AE thread is about anything but, so why not!

BTW it’s out via back door.

Just follow ALPA guidance. Put in blanket greens with auto ack yes, auto accept no, and turn your ringer off if you don’t want a call at night. If only a few do it, it just screws the commuter until he can’t make it. If everyone does it, it negates this BS ‘deal’ they made.

Except that isn't what the ALPA guidance says. Go read it again.

you do realize that reps aren’t on full time FPL, and wrote it on their own time, right?

Democracy is a b1tch, all right. Especially when bad actors sow disinformation like beernutt. Innit.

Here is a question. How many pilots in any particular seat are not working each day? Rough beer napkin based on 73 Atl. 400 in catagory. Work approx 15 days per month. So figure it starts at 200 per day are working. Add in extra pickups, simulators, union work, sick, whatever. I’m guessing there are 100-150 not working on any given day. So a 100 batch size probably covers all the slips plus some IA’s? So we can expect to get calls every day we are not working? Huh. That sux.

At least for now it seems the schedulers are using some discretion for farther out trips. I've seen some batch size of 10 for stuff 4-5 hours out, and even a batch size of 1 for a trip 2 days out. So they are not just maxing it out every single time. One thing I've noticed is that I am getting waaaaay more OOBGS calls now. Many are pretty close in so I'm assuming they blasted the IB GS crowd and rapidly jumped to OOB when there were no takers. In the past it would take so long to do the in-base people that it would rarely get to OOB before it went to RR/IA/cancel.

You got auto-accept and auto-acknowledge backwards so I'd say a little more than "ad libbed."

Enjoy your phone ringing all night for rotations you aren't #1 for.

No, I didn’t realize that ‘they wrote it on their own time’. That almost makes it worse. What are we paying a certain LEC vice chairman 2 weeks of FPL every month for 6 months to do, if not at least bang out some inflammatory noise? What do you consider full time FPL? 30 days of availability to fly in the past 6 months sounds awfully close to full time FPL to me.

And the release. Did you read it? Talk about disinformation. Rhetoric, grandstanding, conjecture, divisiveness, finger pointing. Then, almost unbelievably, it was closed with ‘In Unity’.

Finally, the second paragraph in your post is a non sequitur. Makes no sense.

Nobody’s ‘clearly’ doing anything in all this. That’s a lot of the problem. No clarity.
