It appears scheduling is also having some trouble adapting to the new normal. Put in a blanket GS last night with auto accept on, acknowledge off. Forgot to set calls to break do not disturb and woke up to find 8 missed calls for a short notice GS that they apparently ran twice. 404 numbers (the ones that show up when an actual person calls) in addition to the ARCOS calls.
I’m sure they eventually figured it out as my schedule was clear when I woke up, but wonder how much effort they waste calling people with auto accept on to see if they’ll take it.

I've answered numerous IA calls, pressed 1 to confirm its me, listened to the rotations and even let the phone ring for the scheduler before hanging up. I have never flown or been on the hook for an IA.
Edit: I just re-read your comment and noticed you said Scheduling calling. Have people been getting calls from actual schedulers for IA's? I have only ever gotten robo-calls.

Have seen it in practice. For reference:

Like beyond-next-day PCS awards, you will be expected to maintain awareness of trip coverage if you select this option.

I mean you're technically not wrong, but when was the last time the company ever tried to IA a pilot at the plane? When did IA's go from schedulers calling personally to robocalls? Now if you pick up the phone on an IA call there is zero obligation to do any work. You still have to "volunteer" for the IA by selecting to talk to a scheduler. It must not be that painful if we've got pilots doing multiple IA's in a month. So for all practical purposes IA's have been a "no trigger GS" for quite a few years now. That is certainly how pilots have been treating them since the company ramped up the 23.M.7 abuse.
In my opinion I think we need to get IA's moved to ARCOS. So anyone with a GS request in will get the GS call and it will be awarded in seniority order. Then when they go to IA's the call list will be all eligible pilots regardless of slip status, and it would be properly awarded in reverse seniority order plus it would be leveled properly where someone couldn't rack up multiple IA's in a month without everyone else getting a fair chance.

Nomenclature: There is an "offer" window first that you can auto accept (regardless of when the trip reports), then an "acknowledge" window next that you can auto ack (if the trip reports >12 hrs away). Confusingly, in iCrew the PCS template shows the "auto ack on duty Y/N" first, then the "auto accept on duty Y/N" second - which is backwards from how ARCOS sends out trip awards.

Im fairly certain you have that backwards.

I still don’t understand it.

This setup is confusing. Always has been. They should change it to step 1 and step 2 or initial award and final award. Something less confusing than accept and acknowledge. Why do you need to acknowledge it after accepting it? It’s ass backwards. Should ackowledge award, then decide if you want to accept it or turn it down.
I still don’t understand it.

I'm 100% with you on this. Actually my mind can make either way seem right, which is what makes it even more confusing. What seals the deal on the confusion is that they didn't put the drop downs in there from left to right. So much confusion!
