(AA gives 6 vacation passes a year and then unlimited reg priority) Does this also extend to the registered companion? (RC at AA has same benefits as the employee)
3. How strong is Delta's ZED agreement?
4. If you ZED on Skyteam partners are there any additonal benefits? (AA non revs on oneworld have higher priority than regular ZED nonrevs)

Thanks.
No Delta app is not capable.
United has better Z aggreement with option to list in premium cabins and pay less

United also has much bigger discounts on purchasing a ticket. Making up numbers here but:

We get something like 10% off. Their's is something like cost plus 10%. Many United buddies just buy tickets as it's relatively cheap.

As someone who mostly buys tickets, I really wish we had made our FCFL discount a much better deal. If you watch, you can often get some decent deals, but most of the time it's just meh. If that is what UAL has, that would be a much better option.

I have compared them on the same city pairs. United runs about half the cost of Delta for positive space. As I mentioned in another post they give you that price when you search loads for non revenue travel. It gives the loads but also says if you want a confirmed seat the price is XXX. Very handy and easy to use.
A commuting pilot who ops for a positive space ticket is not required to have a backup flight.

What I dont understand is how ANY travel companion gets to bump an active employee when theyre traveling without the active employee. They should be one step below all active employees. We def need more priority codes like United.

They also have something like 4-6 buddy passes for ZED traveling when the active employee is traveling with the buddy.

Wow, that sounds great. If I remember correctly their version of Travelnet (Skynet?) is much more modern as well.

I am retired from DL (and for your benifit I'll add you used to pull gear for me and we both have a passion for sailing). Anyway my son flys for United and I take advantage of my parents benefits often. In September my wife and I traveled on tickets in Polaris and FC from MAD to SLC. I purchased my discount tickets about 3 weeks before travel and the price for the MAD - SLC trip was $1090. I don't know how the UA algorithm works but I would check prices daily until I found the price I liked and pulled the trigger. Most of the prices were about double what I paid and DL double that. I did delay my return a day to take advantage of the deal but we saved $2K and having an extra day in Spain was nice. On the day I bought the Polaris tickets (think Delta One) the super coach seats were $700 more for employees than my layflat cocoon. Anyway I have used UA Polaris seats three times now for international travel and also have earned "status". It's nice to be treated valued. United's on board product is not quite up to DL yet but it is improving rapidly. For me the biggest difference is the free wifi on DL. We had meal options on all our flights and UA had us choose what we wanted two days before travel. I travel a couple of times monthly nonreving but I'll never nonrev internationally again.

employees at UAL can even pre-select their meals for trips. Delta IT sucks and they won’t spend the money to get it into the 21st century. They don’t even have a way to track our iPads if we lose them

Great information! I had no idea we could also purchase seats in Polaris. I have a possible Europe trip upcoming that was going to put a serious dent in my American points to sit upfront, This might be a better option.
