Delta Non-Rev Benefits

One, Delta doesn’t have this ability, right? And two, why don’t we? It can’t be that difficult to negotiate. We’d be paying a higher ZED price for a premium cabin seat.

On the subject of ZED travel, I just had a United buddy fly EWR-LIS on TAP Air Portugal. On United’s myidtravel website, he was able to list for business class and got cleared into a business seat.

even Southwest employees can fly United business class. In exchange, Southwest gives United ultra discounted ZED fares.

we don’t have that ability because our management team refuses to permit any other airline employees (other than VS) in our business class. I suggest making your voice heard if you disagree with this choice, as I do.

correct. They won’t even appear on myidtravel at all.

That’s simply not true, DELTA always puts you in the best seat possible. That goes for any non-rev of any airline flying on delta. We have by far the worst ZED agreements of any legacy airline that I know of, and I’m very familiar with most major European, American, and middle eastern carries, ours is the worst !! No way to sugar coat it

All OAL ZED and JS are listed YW only. Gate agents will not assign premium select, first class, or delta one to offline, ever (with the sole exception of Virgin Atlantic employees)

their system can tell when it is a VS employee (S3CV) or a Skyteam employee (S3D) on ZED. I’m not sure I buy that argument.

Delta absolutely does not upgrade OAL ZED or JS (though crews are good about upgrading JS). Source: I’ve done both, numerous times

Well I used to work for a ME carrier and got upgraded multiple times on Delta while working in the ME, and my friend who has JS international on delta was put in delta one twice this year alone, so not sure if your information is correct.
