Seriously. Is it a *secret* result???

You're retired now. Nothing to fear. This is a discussion board, out with it. Put up or shut up, all of that.

Look at all their hard requirements. If you meet them ALL, then apply. Odds of you getting the call if that's your only experience right now, IMO, are astronomically low. Probably less than one in 8.5 billion (see what I did there?)

But...you're not applying right now to get the call; you're applying for later on when you're much better qualified and they ask you "so, when did you first apply?" you can answer "the instant I met the minimum hiring requirements, and I've been updating regularly ever since".

Dont LCA's have meetings and discuss this stuff? I wonder if there's a rise in additional training events or extra OE hours linked to lower total time pilots.

I don’t have information on delta, but a friend at United that works in the training department said that lower time pilots do better in training.

you mean they couldn’t tell that someone was Hannibal Lector from silence of the Lambs in a 10 minute meeting ? 😂😂

In doing OE, two things have stood out. The sharpness of young new hires and captains, and the opposite of 55+.

They all eventually get it, but the older guys take a lot longer to spool up.

With that said, the older guys have scared themselves(experience) way more. The young guys and gals not as much. In this situation, I feel that low time equates to younger but not always.

This sort of is the reason why superstar athletes are young, and good coaches are old. Not much difference in our performance based profession.

My vertical leap and 40 yard dash times aren't what they used to be. Your theory checks out.
