I tracked days worked per month at Delta and flying in the military part time. I flew a lot more for the military part time than Delta those first five years. I’m counting days I actually flew as “work”. If I didn’t fly for Delta but was on reserve at Delta I didn’t count it as “work”. Sat reserve at home a lot. They almost never called but gradually it ticked up over the years.
Edit: To clarify, the work rules were different then. Short call was 3 hours in the morning (0900-1200 I think) and 1800-1900
every day. You could fly for the military when not on short call in those days. Totally legit.

Could you explain how the credit is so much higher than the ALV? Is that picking up flying on days off?

~10 days was put out by Delta to show how much less we work than other airlines. Yes, I know they’re biased. And yes some people fly 20 days a month but others fly 0 and hit the sim every 90 days to get landings. We were short staffed lately so I acknowledge it’s probably higher now. With the new contract people will work less.
94 hours is what DALPA people used to be paid per month (higher now I think) which was based on what the average Delta pilot made per month.
My last two years (NOT counting no fly covid months) I worked 9.63 days a month and made 129.3 hours of pay. I could have flown more obviously. No reserve. My career average was working 12 days a month.

That is one way to look at it. But that number would include all sources of pay like vacation, etc.
By extension, a VEOP or someone on LTD would be:
55/0 = {}
So not the best metric.

I don't think much is going to be shaken up on reserve with the new stuff.
Most everyone will just be assigned short call on day 1, and then they will likely fly every day of the reserve block.
No improvements whatsoever were attempted regarding base to base staffing and sending reserves all over the system.
