Thanks for posting this. I’m a SWA pilot and have a CJO with Delta, some pilots at SWA that’s their hill to die on, days off! But while I agree it’s important I also average 4 legs a day and came off of a 5 leg day at SWA. So sign me up for 16 days off and 2-3 leg days.

73 Guy. Work mostly 3 day trips or high time 1 day turns if I can pick them up. 3-day typically credits between 17 and 18.5. 12-14 days of work for a full month depending on the avg line value that month. So 16-19 days off depending on 30 or 31 day bid period.

on the 737, you MAY fly a 4 leg day once in a blue moon, but it's a versatile airplane at our company that does everything from ATL-BNA to JFK-SAN. Lots of Caribbean flying in NYC via the WATRS routes, some Alaska dabbling out of SEA. It does a lot, and it's a decent fleet to be on, that antiquated flight deck notwithstanding!

That isn't remotely accurate

I have averaged 17 days off, 74 hours credit the entire time as a new guy. Pay slightly higher under the old contract. I hope the soft pay will bump the trips I fly up to around 90 hours of total pay for the same credit… or I get more sleep.

Never sat reserve once. Now, I realize why reserve goes senior. If I bid reserve I would probably work way less and average 2 green slip days a month.

330B. 2022 flew 545 block hours but averaged 92 hours of pay per month. I commute and still work a flying job at the AF Reserves.
