Its fascinating. Europe 99% of the time blows away American unions/worker rights and protections, except when it comes to airlines.

Pedantic point, but it was JJ O'Donnell's era that the PAC was formally created, hence the JJ O'Donnell trophy!

Both UA and DL have around 1/3 of their pilots donating to the PAC, would love to see that over half. Well done to both shops, let's keep it going and see if we can get more Behncke and 1931 donors.

It's even easier if you increase your contributions as your pay increases.

Wasn't it Charles Ruby who moved ALPA headquarters from Cicero to D.C.?

100% agree.
I try to encourage legacy capts to do Behncke, and FOs to do Presidents. 1931 if you really want to go all out.

ALPA App> Advocacy> Change my Contribution

There's other ways like on DALPA's site under government affairs or within your ALPA profile.

Thanks for the instructions.

Just upped mine to Behncke. Been meaning to up it for a while.

ALPA and the NYC C66 Reps have gone above and beyond for me in the last two months with insurance and pay issues.

Thank you for the explanations. You have all made a great effort to provide informations. I have learned a lot. I understand that you have an adequate number of crews. Here, we are always short-staffed. Approximately 5 crews per aircraft. Any disruption in the flight schedule (technical failure, overduty, unfit, sick leave) causes cancellations or delays because there are no pilots, or rather, management don't want to hire them.

May I also ask you about the voting process for the collective agreement? Do you vote secretly (results are known only to the union leadership) or publicly so that every pilot knows how each pilot voted?

It is a secret ballot even to union leadership though they do get a breakdown of how local council's voted, but not individuals.
