Mission plus
What are your opinions on mission plus? I just played around with it and was really disappointed. Took me almost twice as long to read flight plan as it normally does due to opening each section individually. Also dislike the white text.

Just wait until we have to go through the “e-sign” nonsense. My last airline you sent a pin through ACARS. Here we all have to physically sign on one single iPad, or air drop our signature to one iPad, and then archive the signatures so they don’t disappear.

I’ve been in the small group of testers since August and I wish I could say I’m a fan. It has great potential but it woefully comes up short. This group made a lot of great suggestions to improve from the beginning, however, changes have been incredibly slow to be implemented. My hope is now that it’s going to the pilot group at large the noises from the crowd get loud enough they get a move on making real, meaningful changes. I know the team behind the project is working their tails off, but I have a feeling our sustainability goals are pushing out an app that’s not truly ready for prime time.

So far, not a big fan, BUT...
Like so many things like computer OS updates, or phone updates, we will get used to it in relatively short order.
Once we are though that transition/learning curve, it will be fine.
I will really miss the "times" condensed version of the howgozit though. Was nice to see, at a quick glance with a single quick touch, time and fuel trends, how "late" we would be, etc. There is definitely lots of room for improvement.

I just landed and used it for the second time. The second time was way better than the first time so there’s hope. Give it a couple trips and I’m sure it’ll be much better then! Anything to get rid of the paper mess if you ask me

A previous poster mentioned the white lettering being bad. There is a fix for that right now. It is found on Deltanet by going to the EFB Dashboard and selecting the Mission+ app page and then the FAQ document. It involves activating an Accessibility feature and setting it to only affect Mission+. It essentially reverses Mission+ with regard to the Dark Mode. By putting Mission+ into Dark Mode, the background becomes white and the letters and numbers are given colors. Significantly improves the readability during daylight. When you turn on Dark Mode for the entire iPad, since Mission+ is reversed, it reverts to the black background version that is standard.
So far, having the FO Airdrop his signature to me before I send the flight acceptance has been easy. I'm working on a list of issues/observations to put into an FCR at some point, but I really loathe filling those things out.

Not a huge fan either, but I did learn that if you tap the ‘down arrow’ at the bottom right it will go to the next subsection without closing the one you’re in and opening the next.
