1st off, I'm referencing charts on descent into a major airport. Anything from the flight plan that is pertinent would be covered in the approach briefing, including fuel state I the event of a go around.
Secondly it takes 2 secs to log back in via Face ID. Nevertheless a fix for that issue that appears to be F500 related is on the way

The biggest gripe I would say most people have with M+ is the fact that we have 69 "future updates" that should have been already implemented when released to the pilot group as a whole. If even the majority of that list was already part of the main rollout to the pilots, you would probably see a lot less frustration (still complaining, cause you know we are pilots)....It really is unsat how it was rolled out and taken so long to get basic stuff that should be a necessity.

introducing unnecessary distractions due to M+ design incompetence into the operation absolutely reduces an already thin safety margin.

Why would it become an issue? Diversion airports on the Flight Plan are for planning purposes and are rarely the suitable airport for real-world diversion. Furthermore, as Captain do you not know your fuel state descending thru 18,000 ft? Do you not have a plan in the event of a go-around without having to reference Mission+? Moreover with the EFB on airplane mode disconnected from Wifi it will log into Mission+

Everyone seems to be arguing around each other on this topic. In the end, multiple statements can be true at the same time without invalidating the other statements:
M+ is a functional app in that it meets all of the minimum requirements in order to replace paper flight plans and be our sole source of dispatch release.
M+ is a clunky, unintuitive app that puts basic, key information in scattered parts.
M+ has potential to be a very good app, and it seems like a lot of major improvements are in the works.
M+ should not have been released to the pilot group without many of the above improvements already in place.

If forced to choose between Mission+ and laser printed releases, I will happily take the latter.
(Not the “infinity roll” paper in DTW or MSP though, because, my god. “Sure, you totally read that 50 yards of rolled up single sheet paper Captain.”)

At first I didn't mind it and thought I would learn to like it. NOT! Can't stand it. "Clunky" is the word I use to describe it as well. I'm like this is 2023 and what the hell is this product? Why? I do find it a distraction as well, granted not often. I'll resort to paper or CBT in other documents if need be. I guess at times I feel this is an Easter egg hunt. Sure I know where it's hidden but I'm not overly joyed to navigate to find it. Maybe it's time to start filing out FCR's on this. EFB is on the list.
As pilots we like lots of information in front of us or at least we're use to that,, not always a good thing I know. I was told that the A320 has at any given time 750 pieces of information before your eyes. With M+ I have to kinda scroll and search several screens to make the picture in my head. With Oak Notes, there is a lot of info on one page, lots. It gives me a bigger picture and more info just at a glance and not having to scroll/search. I eagerly await the new updates in hopes of a better product with M+.
Whoever designed M+ and was to design a video game, I think it would resemble Pong from the 70's. LOL
