I used M+ when it first came out and thought it was a typical Delta software solution. The UI wastes a bunch of space and it takes way too many interactions to get the info I’m looking for. The lack of split screen functionality made it harder for me to use too.

I’ll stick with the HTML version until they finish M+. Sounds like it’s going to change a lot by the time Delta will go paper less. I’ve got no interest in being a software beta tester while the 4th floor folks try wrap their heads around modern UI design language.

But it's a moo point. We have no control. Hopefully, the company and ALPA can convince Navblue to customize M+ to emulate Oaknotes. What I heard from the townhall was that the next update was mostly backend and bug fixes. The cosmetic overhaul changes will come closer to the end of the year.
The difference between you taking notes and Oaknotes is that you are putting eyes on the original data and putting it into your own personalized format. Oaknotes, you never see the original data. You have to trust that the 3rd party program is accurately transferring the data

JB made a shortcut that pulled date from M+ and generated something that looks just like the HTML with hyperlinks.

The shortcut is literally searching M+ and copy/pasting data, just displaying it in a much more user friendly UI....it's not rocket surgery.

The fact that M+ needed a day/night work around in Version 1 is in-excusable for a Fortune 100 company in this day and age and speaks volumes
To be fair, you don't NEED the 70 slide training and if Oaknotes has been a solution, it would have probably been a 100 page slide dealing with teaching you how to use the shortcuts feature. You could probably get through M+ without doing any training at all. It's a fairly straightforward albeit clunky UI

Except you must open M+ in order to even get the Oaknotes, so it's not like you haven't reviewed it. Just like we certify the Flight Duty Release that we "have received weather reports", that you "believe the fight can be completed successfully", and that you consider your "physical condition satisfactory". You can easily argue you have reviewed the M+ data. Oaknotes is just an after-the-fact 'note'. This shouldn't be difficult for company to argue to the FAA, but of course they won't because it doesn't fit their narrative.

Except most people admit they don't actually view the underlying documents prior to looking at Oaknotes. And you don't actually need to open the flight plan to open oaknotes.

You are missing the point. But it's moot, so...

They have fixes planned for Mission+ on the road map which is published on SkyHub. However, these items were first identified last August and Delta has had Mission+ in its hands since early last year. The only significant changes that have actually been implemented are calculators, including the break calculator. I don't see many significant changes except for the release signing happening before the switch over.

Exactly this. They are incredibly slow and the things they've released (calculators, filters, etc.) are poorly designed. Expecting software to be good after a complete revamp over the course of multiple updates is just naive. We should have chosen a good app from the start, not one that promised to be "customizable". We've already seen how great their customization skills are...

I don’t think breezy is missing the point. To write information on a paper, you have to look at the source document. To share to oak notes you only look at the menu that says share, and then never view the briefing, which is the source. It’s completely different, unless you are hitting share and reading through the m+ briefing before viewing your oak notes.

Oaknotes was nice, but it is not that much nicer than the Mission+ FDRA page which gives you virtually all the information you need for the flight. Also I like the weather page in Mission+ better than Oaknotes.
