Mission plus

I agree 100%. They could have just kept the old format (HTML, PDF, whatev) and sent it to our emails. Then sign off the FDRA on ACARS like every other airline in the world. I personally liked highlighting the PDF.
This is eerily reminiscent of the tablet we used prior to the iPad -- which shall not be named. We have to do things our own way.
We're stuck with it.

How did they get it to be so bad?
I just wanted permission to use the html flight plan and not have to use paper. That’s it.
I can’t believe they thought the dark screen all the time was a good idea.
It reminds me of when someone hijacks a project and ruins it for everyone.

Everyone knows when they encounter a nicely designed app. Mission plus is not one of those... I hope the development team is ready to completely redesign it or we're going to be fumbling with this for a long time.
They couldn't even do little things correctly (for example, the dashboard shows the second FA first on the list, and the layout prevents you from seeing it without swiping that box). Clearly whoever designed this is not a pilot and has no training in good UI design.

Do you all use JeppFD Pro for charts? If so, is this replacing that for chart reference and company docs?
I'm currently using Alaska's "Jetpack" app (doesn't integrate charts or company docs) and it pretty seamlessly integrates PDF release and fit for duty functionality. It even has crew/gate agent text chat.

After playing with it some more, this app is absolute crap. The HTML flight plans we’ve been getting are the standard. I was picturing an app where you open your flight number, then have a couple files. One for flight plan in current HTML format, one for signing release, and then one for final weather when it comes. Maybe a link to autoload into jepps. The new app gives less info, is more convoluted, and takes way more time to get the info it does provide.
It’s garbage and we all know it. My recommendation is to start from scratch. The pilots involved in this project should be fired from the project. I hate it that bad.
Current HTML format provided FA rotations, crew rest calculator, wind calculator, instant updated times, and projected arrival times, sorted notams, can go dark/white background with push of button, and more. Pathetic.

If we can sign in for a trip in MiCrew, why couldn’t we sign for each flight that we are fit for
duty from MiCrew as well? Utilize the html flight plan into an app and everyone would have been happy as it’s what we’ve been using for the last 6-9 years. I don’t get why we always have to reinvent the wheel, then to come back and go “oh hey here’s a round object”…. What a piece
of garbage.
