There are two things here. One is that M+ is consistently late by 5-10 minutes. (Since you don't open it until after you make your nest, it doesn't affect you).
The second is that you need to go search in the dark. There is no notification on your iPad that the flight plan is ready.
I disagree that it's an exaggeration to say both of those things are negative and need to be fixed.

ironically, what’s going to hold M+ back is not the half-baked front end. They’d be just fine making us struggle with the current mess right now, if they could.
It’s entirely too unreliable to be the sole source flight plan. We can only hope that there are adequate UI improvements—monumental UI improvements—while they’re trying to fix the back end.
I just don’t understand how this development team convinced themselves M+ was ready for prime time. Seems to be a microcosm of the culture problem at Delta. No one wants to tell the emperor he’s naked. No one wants to take accountability and say “boss, sorry we missed our timeline, but it’s just not ready.”
Sheehan pretty much admitted M+ isn’t up to snuff in his “we’ll do better” memo from a couple weeks ago. That’s the closest we’ll ever see a Delta manager get to admitting a mistake.

My foreflight and the free wifi is the solution. Kinda like the weirdo I flew with back in the day that preferred NOS flip charts and carried his own. Never underestimate the PITA effect.

I use it.. it's fine. Could be better, but it's good enough. I think it will be annoying when we switch over to signing the release via Mission Plus. Hopefully they can change it so we can just each individually sign it on our own ipads and send it in without the whole airdrop or passing an ipad around dance.

I used it for the first time last week, and based on all the hatred on here and other sites, I expected it to be a dumpster fire. I actually found it quite easy to use, but admittedly the first time it took some hunting and pecking as I figured out where thing were. It has a long way to go and I still prefer what we have now. WRT to the signing of the release, I don't understand why it can be done in the app. If I remember correctly (not 100%), at AAL, we signed with a click of the button on an app...in 2014!

Now I’m trying to school myself on the OakNotes to make this this kluge even vaguely user friendly.

Everyone I fly with dislikes it. I have used it in conjunction with the original electronic flight plan for two flights then used it by itself on three flights. I found it unnecessarily clunky. I am sure getting use to it will help a lot but that will never fix its inherent clumsiness and slower access to many things. I flew with someone who used it early on and reported back to the working group what he thought would be important fixes. He was told he just had to get used to it and thanks for your input but we aren’t making any changes.

You'd be surprised how many times ALT WX is completely missing. The ALT's themselves are difficult to find on Flag and Redispatch flights.
It's designed for a generic airline anywhere on earth. It will be difficult to widget-ize it.
But it's "good enough," I guess.
