So another 6 months until we actually see a larger paycheck? Great. What’s another 1/2 year?

Half year? How long has the scope AIP taken? Why would a whole contract rewrite be faster than that? And why would the company not drag it out as long as possible? We are working at greatly discounted rates from last decade. Maybe we would have this singed by next fall?

Contract language has been written and agreed to as sections were closed. Only the few recently closed sections remain.

edit- per my understanding from comms.

Okay, I read that too. So presumably they could have this out soon. So why the issues with the global AIP?

This blows my mind.
The language should have been written already for the closed 22 sections. The remaining should be pretty easy to crank out in a day with 3 negotiators and a few lawyers. Figure a couple turns with the company, if they really wanted, this could be wrapped up before Christmas.

After next week, nothing will get done until after the new year. Holiday schedule. Realistically we’re looking a two weeks of work tops.

Well(check my math), that could be about 60 million per month to the pilots detriment. How about some green slip pay to the lawyers and reps and admin for working three days over Christmas and New years eve? Pilots work on Christmas AND New Years for no extra pay as of now. Sounds like a good expense to me....how much could it possible be compared to a 15,000 pilots loss in pay and DC....chump change. Get 'er done.

my understanding on this issue is that company and ALPA kept arguing over how to establish the baseline upon which 1:1 growth would start. I have a feeling (personal conjecture follow) it was drawn out by the company until pwa negotiations were done, including section 1 (scope) which should dovetail with the global agreement.
