ALPA is failing on this if true.

So, my take .....
1. Management is stupid....or,

2. Management and ALPA thinks this will resoundingly pass and are not worried about the outer fringe % that are fence sitters that topple to the "NO" side due to the real(perceived) slap in the face

Exactly this. Most reasonable people knew there was no was NO WAY we were getting full retro ala C2016 style for 3 years. If they did they were fooling themselves.

Now their line of thinking is, let's send this turd back and in 1.5 years we will get 4.5 years of "full retro" back to the amenable date. Spoiler alert, it's not going to happen .

Is that what incentivized management to get C2019 done on time?

I think it’s been discussed ad nauseam but most of those inclined to vote no didn’t expect full retro. but this retro? 2023 no retro? I’m guessing 2030 serious negotiations for the next contract begin.

Ok. What retro did you expect? And if we send it back, will you get what your expectation is for 4.5 years......or more?

You sure post a lot about what we can’t get. Glad you aren’t on the negotiating committee. If you were we would be settling for 2/2/4 retro.

It doesn’t matter what I expect. This will likely pass. This contract has dragged on a long time and the 4.5 year argument has merit. Just pointing out that the way it’s structured with retro should temper expectations for future on time contract. And yes I know COVID had an effect on the delay but doesn't explain the lack of 2023 retro.

Good one. Love these comments. That's exactly what I would have said yes to.

You honestly have no idea. I actually find the retro underwhelming, but it's made up for in the total value of the contract (QOL and Soft Money) I also believe sending back will not result in any appreciable gain. If anything, it will result in a net loss to the pilot group.

Thanks for playing.

Agreed. The lack of 2023 retro strikes me as tone def on an otherwise decent AIP.
