you miss the point. For a senior FO, say a 2014 hire, 9 year pay for 717 captain is 294. 9 year 350/330/764 FO pay is 276. Not enough of a pay difference to give up the quality of life of a senior wide body FO. That’s why captain is going so junior.

I'd guess that 2014 hire would be MORE senior as a 717A though.

That may be your point but it wasn’t mine. I was responding to what I thought was a discussion about new hires or just a couple years in taking Captain positions. The reasons for doing that from a numbers perspective are obvious. I will give you that for whatever reason - the dollar difference between NB A and WB B as you get more senior on property narrows.
