I think it’s embarrassing that captain qol is so low that it’s become a new hire position. Honest question though. How many new hire captains have bid off captain once they get it due to qol? I would bet it’s not very many. Going back to fo is probably really hard to do. With paybanding the top rate, 717 captain and wide-body fo is essentially equal payrate wise.

I keep hearing this, but that 1-2 year CA would be 90% or worse WB FO. Not that it can’t be done, but bring that close to the plug I’m not sure how easy it is to match $. The CA flying just 1 GS really makes the numbers hard.
