I think it’s embarrassing that captain qol is so low that it’s become a new hire position. Honest question though. How many new hire captains have bid off captain once they get it due to qol? I would bet it’s not very many. Going back to fo is probably really hard to do. With paybanding the top rate, 717 captain and wide-body fo is essentially equal payrate wise.

They probably don’t want the NH in the left seat…not because they can’t…but…

Next AE, current NH bid CA = 4 yr seat lock. Win for the company. That’s my opinion…
