Yep, this is why our mock bid is useless compared to United's. I don't think their crew resources is allowed to massage the results like ours do. If they post positions they have to award them if there are bidders. Here crew resources can post 50 positions but decide to only award 25 of them.

the mock might not be accurate but it’s better than nothing. Would people rather us just not have one at all? I don’t get what the complaining is for. Of course it’s not accurate.

Yeah, I'm not really complaining about the mock bid. More the process where crew resources doesn't have to fill posted vacancies...seems ridiculous to me.

I agree they should have to fill all posted vacancies. I can see maybe not backfilling secondary vacancies but posted ones should have to be filled

It wasn’t that long ago that they didn’t fill some ER CA positions because the guys who bid were either in indoc still or just out of indoc. May or may not be the best idea. We do still occasionally fire guys on probation.

Honestly that may have to do more with experience than anything else. Haven’t seen slough or scared themselves enough. Not that they aren’t capable, but experience does play in.
