To add: it counts infilled vacancies behind you. Got bit by that one myself once

Also possibly they are changing to a better commute.

Yup. Technique only, bid about 6-9% higher than you want and convert after junior.

Just to be clear. I'm projected at 47% after the last AE conversion, which is April 24. I put a bid in for 50% and didn't show on the mid bid. Pilots junior to me show on the mid bid. Shouldn't it have shown me on the mid bid?

I would strongly recommend taking your qualifiers out if you really want it. I’ve noticed ALPA crystal ball shows my category about 50 pilots smaller than what the April projection is on company sight but shows my number as the same. Obviously my percentage will be more junior with ALPA. 47 percent is a weird percent. Do your own math. If you can live with the results pull your qualifier. You obviously know where you stand. Take the path of least resistance.

Your other option is leave it as is and probably not get the award. Then you will call crew resources, tell them they made a mistake, and try to make your case to have them change the award. They may or may not comply. Why deal with it?

+1. Just one anecdote: When I upgraded, I had a qualifier at 80%. I missed it by one whole percent. I instantly regretted it, and realized 81% would have indeed been good enough. I took out my qualifier and got it a bid later, but at that time it was many months between bids. There are no guarantees "the next bid" will have a vacancy, primary or contingent. Besides, there really isn't much difference bidding at 50% vs. 60%, much less 47% anyway.

Yeah, but 46.5% holds weekends and holidays off.

I saw that as well, pretty surprising since NYC usually is the most junior
