The answer isn't a number. The answer is getting something that pilots hired after bankruptcy don't get. Offering MBCBP only to those with 20+ years on property would have been one option. Another option would have been paying the $7,500 catch up contribution once reaching 55 and 20 years of service.

For heaven's sake, instead of spamming all these threads, can someone PLEASE just start a thread for those who actually want to beat thier chest about this stuff, so the rest of us can just ignore it or mark that thread as "READ".

I had an F430 for several years. Did all the maintenance myself. Took it to the track and cruised around town. There is no magic Ferrari dust under the bonnet. Sure, there are some things you need special equipment (scanners/programmers) for, but you would only need those things for major repairs like engine/transmission replacement. But then that’s not typical ownership. Run of the mill maintenance is easy. Literally no more complicated than a Toyota. Pistons go up and down, wheels go round and round. Nothing special.
But it was fun.

No more complicated than a Toyota! You are screwed. True story: My wife's Sienna minivan is getting some steering components replaced so I tell her to get a price on the spark plugs. This is about 10 years ago. Price comes back something like $300. "$300 for spark plugs!" Being a former motorhead, I think 'll do it myself. Worst $300 I never spent. In my best Homer Simpson Voice "Stupid tranverse mounted engine!!!!!" Well to get to the rear 3 plugs you have to pull the windshiled wipers, windshield wiper motor, whole windshield wiper bay, intake manifold, a support bracket, and whatever else I am forgetting.
But it was fun.

3 days later I get a call “well, we’ve confirmed that the intake duct is the issue, and we’re going to order the part”. I’m like “Really? What gave it away?”. I get that they have all kinds of people coming in claiming all kinds of issues, but this was pretty obvious. It’s otherwise a pretty good shop.

Now back to drifting this thread like a Nissan. Or would you prefer we stay tracking like a Miata?
