Also, I wasn't "handed" anything. You know nothing of my background.
Cool. Thanks for letting us know how you feel again.

We are all sharing our opinions. One opinion per person. Is this news to you?

Lol. I'm not going to argue any more with someone whose whole goal here is a narcicistic pursuit to run up points on the internet. I refuse to participate in your fantasy of importancy.

Good day.

We had 900ish jets pre-pandemic, with new deliveries set to 4% growth to match GDP growth. Covid caused a freeze in hiring while retiring thousands earlier than the age 65 timeline. We deferred deliveries, we parked jets that took years to reactivate. Is it any suprise that in 2022-2023 we have hired 2000+/yr? Clearly we are making up for lost years to get where we should have been, and avert losing marketshare. We've tried to replace the pilot retirments, reactivate jets, accelerate new orders to restore our fleet... that puts us to the 17k-18k pilot headcount. The historic movement won't continue for long. We're rapidly approaching hiring for attrition and 3-5% annual growth. You eliminate the attrition, nearly all this movement stops. If the economy takes a dive, age 67 could actually put the group in an overstaffed scenario, causing reverse movement in seniority up to and including furloughs.

I get why you're selling the movement of the last 2 years.. but there is no reason to believe anything like that will happen over the next 2 years, ESPECIALLY with age 67.

I don't even know how many posts I have...because I don't care. I do care about refuting and arguing with people whose opinions are absurd or hypocritical. Clearly you care about post count if you are looking at mine.

That's what happens when you stuff 3-4 people aged 55 and older into a flight deck for 13 hours. They think everyone thinks like them and have meltdowns when anyone challenges their often out of left field opinions.
