At least in ATL, the 765 guys have no desire to go Airbus at the end.

I would be surprised if it didn’t come out today. I was looking at the timing of previous mid bid awards and today would be the last day of the historical posting range.

A330 A will NOT break 5K. Before the optimizer, a large number of awards like this bid would have driven results a lot more junior, but because of crappy domestic trips/schedules, I think a lot more people who would have otherwise waited for some seniority before bidding, are just taking the jump early and willing to be really junior. A330 A will only go as junior as 4150-4300 this bid. (My opinion, but I’ve been watching it for a while, and it’s surprising how many pilots are taking it. There aren’t any tails to the distribution anymore when there are a lot of positions.)

it does take 79.5 hours to rewind the reel to reel mag tapes to the approximate place where the last submission of standing bids resides, soooo…..mid bid results should be available in the next 132.76 hours (give or take 29.43 min for vacuum tube warm up time).

I’m thinking your guess will be the final result.

Mock bid will show 4,869.

You guys are crazy! 😂

There’s no way it drops 900 numbers with 35 openings. There are only 67ish total WB A openings.

I think that is a close guesstimate. There are 100’s of people who want to stay where they are, 100’s who want to stay where they are right now, 100’s who don’t want to go Airbus, 1000’s who don’t want to do international, 1000’s who don’t want to be junior and 1000’s who don’t want to go New York. EDIT. I think it will drop about 900 numbers. That puts it at 3930. Not 4869.

I agree with everything you said, but I've been watching too, and as a right around 4000 seniority pilot right now, late 2000's DL hire, I've thought there was a chance it would drop to me (330A anywhere), for the lat year....I thought I might get it before LAST summer, and there are always more people than I expected willing to be the plug. I'm pretty sure I'll get it this time finally, but I've been expecting it the last two bids, and hoping a lot longer than that.

We will see, but I'll be surprised if it hits 4300.
