The poster being referenced is an NYC320A. NYC 320 and 73NA are making at least $314/hr in a category that is rains Green year round for the foreseeable future. Rolling Thunder is readily available. Add in profit sharing and it's EASILY 400k. Maybe even 500k but that would be embellishment.
I try to bid as close to min credit as possible.

That said, just because a few pilots can hit a number does not mean that’s the norm, or that’s what should be considered “standard”.

A year 1 320/737 Captain flying 120 credit a month(easily attainable in NYC) makes $497k including 10% PS. Again... Year ONE Captain. Even you embellish(120 hrs) to make your point😂😂😂😂

A crashpad ensures an actual bed to sleep in when your commute flight cancels and all the hotels are booked because the nor’easter shut down the airport…I’m too old to be trying to sleep In the black leather inn and I sure as hell ain’t going to be that guy that throws a cot and inflatable sleep pad on the floor of the sleep room either.
A crash pad enables me to set up base to roll thunder in the months I choose to do so.
You do you and let the commuters handle their commute the way they best see fit.

Um…never assumed a cot or sleep pad. Roll that thunder into a decent hotel room. Like I said, I’ve been a cross-country commuter, affected by IROPs too. Rent a car and drive to an available hotel room, catch a train, hell jump on an available Delta One if you need to. I just can’t see a grown man sharing some apartment with a bunch of other random men, especially a mainline captain. Am I seriously out to lunch here?
Edit: and if I was staying for an entire Thanksgiving day, I'd treat myself to an even nicer hotel. But that's just me. Different strokes etc.

There are Crashpads that are single rooms, some of them are very empty. 90% of the time I’m alone in my crashpad, the other 10% there’s only another person.
In NYC, it could be very challenging. If is another base with affordable hotels (DTW, ATL, etc), I would definitely would stay in hotels. NY…no thanks.

Rent a car in a city that might not have available cars and hotel…that might cost 3 months of crashpad payments.
