Got unstacked to get Thanksgiving and Friday off with a 0605 report Saturday and a 2300 release Wednesday.

It's definitely affecting behavior.

Turkey at the crashpad. (Family will be in Scotland anyways)
Bidding A is a choice

Edit: … and apparently a bad choice at 85%

Why must you embellish everything? The low end of the captains who are likely getting forced to work are not making 400K+. And your last sentence is so ridiculous on so many different levels. You think the locals in Gaza are thinking about Thanksgiving in the USA? WTH?? This makes no sense at all.

I don't actually mind working holidays. No kids, neice is too young to know that we might do Hanukkah and Christmas (ya we do both in my house) a couple days off from the rest of the world.

What I noted on the bid behavior changed is the senior guys are still off, but instead of coverage awards over the holiday as is the norm, the mid seniority guys that couldn't get enough days off in a row around the holiday now bid to work it and get the 5:15. But that leaves so much stuff immediately before/after uncovered that those were the coverage awards

Funny thing is I bid basically the following every month with days off tweaked to go to dirtbike stuff. This month was the Northeast Vet Championship in Southwick, MA, currently at a KOA across the river from PHL on way home, did ok considering the last I raced MX338 which is a gnarly sand track was 2002.

Next month the pie in the sky was to get Thanksgiving and days around it off to go to Scotland to go to a gradiuation.

The realistic I might get it off which I could get off as a line holder but not a reserve was Veterans day weekend off to go train/ride at ClubMX down in South Carolina.

Last 2 months I cant hold the days I want off on reserve so I get forced into a line.

Also, crash pad? C’mon man. Crash pad are for regional pilots and new hires on a seat lock.

Yeah, I’m judging. I’ve been a commuter, sometimes cross-country. Never had a crash pad. You make the big bucks now, you don’t need to live like a college kid.

Again, judging. Sorry not sorry.

A crashpad ensures an actual bed to sleep in when your commute flight cancels and all the hotels are booked because the nor’easter shut down the airport…I’m too old to be trying to sleep In the black leather inn and I sure as hell ain’t going to be that guy that throws a cot and inflatable sleep pad on the floor of the sleep room either.

A crash pad enables me to set up base to roll thunder in the months I choose to do so.

You do you and let the commuters handle their commute the way they best see fit.

The poster being referenced is an NYC320A. NYC 320 and 73NA are making at least $314/hr in a category that is rains Green year round for the foreseeable future. Rolling Thunder is readily available. Add in profit sharing and it's EASILY 400k. Maybe even 500k but that would be embellishment.

Good stuff, thanks! In danger of stating the obvious, going by page lacks some detail, but also some pages don't necessarily have 10 pilots per page on the wide report. Interesting results nonetheless!

You base someone’s pay at Delta based on constant green slips and rolling thunder? Well then yeah, I guess even most FO’s are all easily crediting 120 hours a month and easily breaking $400k. What the ??? Not all Delta pilots hate their family.
