85% in my category to hold Thanksgiving off.

Looks like it varies widely by BES. DTW 737A got unstacked pretty close to 50% right over Thanksgiving.

The extra 5:15 not trumping the day with the family

I’m 40% NBA. I can hold holidays off easily. I’m picky about the trips I fly and at this point have to report late Sunday’s, 7-8pm, to get the trips I like. If I didn’t care about trips I’d hold all weekends off.

Same for mine. I actually didn't get a terrible schedule and have not just Thanksgiving off but a few days off around it which is pretty amazing. Usually in Nov or Dec I'm stuck working 8-9 days in a row with a holiday hidden in there somewhere. I hope it continues this way in Dec!

Proof that most pilots actually do care more about money than QOL 😜

I’m not complaining. It’s extra money for the pilot group, and allows junior pilots to get holidays off. It’s a great benefit.

I’m just curious how accurate the forecast training dates are in general for the last few AEs ? Most everyone shows Jan for the Oct bid, any chance that gets moved up? I’m not sure what folks are the previous AEs have done vs projected. I would just not like to be tricked into thinking Jan training and then get moved up to December. I’m not sure a convert last would matter much?

Look at it this way, Convert after Junior would not cost much (time). And it would virtually eliminate your issue.

I didn't see any evidence of that looking at the most of the NB A wides. I looked at 73/320 in DTW, MSP, LAX, NYC and ATL. Dudes got unstacked right up to the cutoff line over the holiday. Lots of purple over the 23rd for sure. So no, not seeing it. What BES are you seeing this?

I agree, but there are so few folks training I’m still concerned about a move up. Long story short may just wait out another month to be sure.

ATL 320 A. First unstacked line holder 71%. First unstacked Reserve 88%, and that wasn’t even on Thanksgiving, which was 92%.

So, yeah, it made a pretty huge difference.
