Prepare yourselves… 2023 AEs

Ha, me too. Plus the September AE was the only one this year without a separate Projected Training list (I know it’s included in the AE award itself). Hey, we are doing monthly AES now. I can’t complain!

usually if I’m junior I give the first offer to the senior FO. I’m excited to hear how you like it!

The seniority thing is just something I use with the other FO’s. Approach it as a hey your senior so I was gonna give you the option. Or if I’m senior say hey I was gonna be PF/PM going out and then relief coming back if you’re good with that? Not just dictating what I’m going to do. My fleet doesn’t run into landing issues, that will be something new for you.
B lines you may have a trip where each leg is a new set of 2 different pilots and you’re the 3rd guy. Sometimes people think this is a relief pilot trip, but it’s not technically. When I’ve flown those I just try to be best help for the guys/gals I can be but usually on those I can end up being a relief every single leg. Hope that gives you some insight. You’ll learn your stuff quickly and see what quirks or techniques work for you.
