I'm no kid. It would benefit me too. But I can see the hypocrisy that we all benefited from the advancement of mandatory retirements at 60 and then 65 for most of our careers, now suddenly you're at the end and you've changed your mind? At least be honest and say what everyone knows. It all about the money and has nothing to do with "fairness" or "health" or anything else.

You knew the mandatory retirement age when you showed up. You guys sit in your echo chambers and convince yourselves that this is a done deal and it's just and everyone wants it and then attack anyone who doesn't agree. Well I'm your peer and I don't want it. I'm sick of the selfishness and robbing from the future generations.

But hey, back to the 2023 AE discussion. I know you guys don't care what I think. I also know the democrat senate doesn't care what you think. I'll be like Trip7 and make a bold prediction. You will not be flying WB international over age 65 within 5 years. Take a screen shot.

Also, there's no way LAX 350 goes junior. What a strange prediction. Maybe DTW, but definitely not LAX.

Exactly. Where are WB B awards going currently? Pretty close to historical norms, and nowhere near going unfilled.

.
There are just a couple “little” things that they “knew/had” when they showed up, a retirement and scope. Both those goal posts were moved just a little bi(sure you jumped right in to fly that new RJ, nonissue for you there. Bet you were Just shocked when hiring slowed at the majors)

As far as “robbing” from future generations, meh. 2nd year pay around 200k, 18% DC and the ability to be a Capt from 30+ years, they will somehow barely survive. JC, talk about selfishness.

YOU voted out pensions and scope. Don't blame that on anyone but yourselves

YOU are ill informed and that is a very disingenuous comment. Go back and read Sailingfun's history lessons on the matter - he posted quite a bit on it. He encapsulates it well.

So the company took the pensions without your collective approval?

NOBODY currently flying is a true "deadzoner". Those guys retired years ago. 65 was throwing them a bone to somewhat compensate for the pension loss. You guys are just trying to jump on that bandwagon. We've had 17 years to compensate for the pension loss. The deadzoners did not. Come off this asinine tenet.

As for the shiny RJ comment, I don't even know what that means. When I started out it was "commuter" airlines flying turboprops. Mainline contracts gave away scope and the RJs came. Anyone flying for the commuters flew whatever we were told to fly. We didn't have a seat at the table. In fact, I recall a big lawsuit over that very issue...

oh, the one who spends every hour on SM speakth.

First off, nobody voted for “collective approval”, they voted to save the company, their living, how they provide for their family. But you know that because you’re just trying to be a DB. Were you even a pilot when this was happening?

. I could care less about 67 really but with the selfish comments, part of me really hope it passes. Now, run along to FB, get that screen time dopamine.

Whoa now, that’s too far. They pretty much had a gun to their head in bankruptcy, so making this claim is unfair.

Good to know! What happens if you get it denied? Is there a waiting period before you can apply again? Can the company technically make you bid to a difference base/category after so long? I can’t find anything in the PWA about this
